  • 3 bananas sliced into 1\/4\u20131\/3 inch rounds<\/li>\n
  • 1\/3 cup unsalted butter (softened)<\/li>\n
  • \u00be cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n
  • 1 \u00bd tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n
  • 1\/3 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream<\/li>\n
  • 2 large eggs<\/li>\n
  • 2 overripe bananas (mashed, about 1 cup)<\/li>\n
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour<\/li>\n
  • \u00be cup whole wheat flour<\/li>\n
  • 1 \u00bd tsp baking powder<\/li>\n
  • 1 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n
  • Dash of salt<\/li>\n
  • \u00bd tsp ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    For Caramel Glaze:<\/h4>\n

    • 1\/4 cup brown sugar<\/li>\n
    • 1\/4 cup heavy cream<\/li>\n
    • 4 tbsp unsalted butter<\/li>\n
    • \u00bc tsp salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

      Directions:<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

      1. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F and grease your cake pan (8×8 or 9-inch round).<\/li>\n
      2. In the pan, melt butter with brown sugar for 5-7 mins, then stir and spread evenly. Arrange banana slices on top.<\/li>\n
      3. Mix dry ingredients, then cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add eggs, vanilla, yogurt, and mashed bananas.<\/li>\n
      4. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Pour batter over bananas and bake for 30 mins at 350\u00b0F, then reduce to 325\u00b0F and bake for another 25-35 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.<\/li>\n
      5. Cool completely before inverting the cake onto a plate.<\/li>\n
      6. For the glaze, boil butter, brown sugar, cream, and salt. Simmer for 2-3 mins, then pour 2\/3 over the banana layer.<\/li>\n
