Layered Chocolate Delight

- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup dark cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water

- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (180ยฐC) and grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water until well combined (batter will be thin).
- Pour batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of chocolate frosting over the top.
- Place the second layer on top and continue to frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Slice and enjoy
